Breakdown of Resources by Subject Area

The funding supported:

  • Middle Leadership Development sessions
  • Subject Leader – 3 day support
  • Critical friendship/consultancy sessions (small group sessions with other TSA member schools)
  • Training on new curriculum
  • Assessment without levels
  • Critical friendship / consultancy sessions (one-to-one surgeries/school visits/email and telephone support)
  • Development of assessment materials for reading and writing for KS1 and KS2.

The funding was used in two ways:

Firstly, to offer middle leadership support to develop the necessary leadership competencies to competently lead, manage and effect change within their area/s of curriculum responsibility.

And Secondly, to support dedicated time allowed colleagues to meet and access subject specific support, advice and guidance from an external subject expert. The sessions were designed so that participants were supported to consider their own plans for the implementation of the new PC in English and Mathematics.

Breakdown of Resources by Subject Area

Maths

  • Pupil target books that include National Curriculum objectives and success criteria.
  • Tracking grids to track pupil progress against each of the individual objectives (1= emerging 2= expected 3 = exceeding).
  • A tracking grid for each area of maths ie Number, Statistics, Multiplication / division.

English

  • Pupil target books that include National Curriculum objectives and success criteria for writing and reading.
  • Tracking grids to track pupil progress against each of the individual objectives (1= emerging 2= expected 3 = exceeding).
  • A tracking grid for each area of maths ie Spelling, Writing and Reading.

ICT

  • Tracking grids that track progress for each strand of ICT (1= emerging 2= expected 3 = exceeding)
