The funding provided was used initially to support a group of target schools to ensure they were ready to implement the new National Curriculum in September 2014. Curriculum leaders attended planning meetings to identify needs and a programme of support was established. Various SLEs were involved in providing this support. Over the last academic year a number of resources have been produced to support the delivery of the new National Curriculum.

Maths

Developed Periodic Assessment Tool (PAT) documents to support assessment and coverage of the curriculum. Shared with target schools.

English

Developed Periodic Assessment Tool (PAT) documents to support assessment and coverage of the curriculum. Writing targets and Quick Check questions to support reading have been produced and shared with target schools. RWI Literacy and Language launched within a number of schools.

Science

Developed use of Enfield LA Science targets. These have supported curriculum coverage.

Computing

Training session held for local schools. Shared coverage document and progression of skills in KS1 and KS2. Visits to schools offered. Network meetings held.

All other subjects

National Curriculum coverage sheets created to support a creative curriculum. Theme web template produced to illustrate cross-curricular links, including SMSC. Incorporated the use of the Chris Quigley Essentials Curriculum to support progression of skills. Local network meetings established for Languages, Humanities, Art and Design and Technology. Specific support provided for target schools, including class observations, leadership of the curriculum and staff INSET.
