We have created resources which are available to all schools in England at:



  • The Primary School History Project set out to introduce the concept and benefits of a chronological unit of study within Primary & Secondary School History for the new National Curriculum 2014.
  • It established planning groups across different Primary Schools and between Primaries and their local Secondary School.
  • The project will create a coordinated programme of study from year 1 to Year 9 that is not only bespoke to the needs of students but the existing resources and expertise of each Primary & Secondary School involved.
  • The role of the SLE was to deliver the subject specialist support required for Primary Schools to phase in these programmes of study and offer the support of a network of history teachers and subject coordinators to develop the academic rigour required by the New National Curriculum 2014.
