Specialist Leaders of Education have led curriculum hubs and have developed a curriculum focussed on key skills.

The curriculum builds upon the Teaching School’s work in defining what outstanding practice looks like at different stages of the primary curriculum. In particular, there is a focus on using and applying the skills that have been taught across this broad and balanced curriculum, whilst ensuring that there is clear impact on core areas of reading, writing and mathematics.

Each Subject Hub has developed a programme which maps the progression of the key skill from Year One to Year Six, and aspirationally into Year Seven. This has been developed to include ideas and planning from the subject area in which it originates as well as ways in which it can be applied to the broader curriculum.
