Breakdown of Resources by Subject Area

CPD sessions were provided to for all schools in Central Bedfordshire to access. These covered; Maths, English, Science, Computing, MFL and assessment. Resources were created for each session and shared with attendees to trial or implementation in their own settings.

As assessment project was undertaken. Five schools worked collaboratively to create a bank of assessment resources. These resources support teachers and schools in the assessment of individual pupils and groups of pupils in English, Maths and Science for the New Curriculum.

New curriculum – A series of CPD sessions, including resources were used to introduce the new curriculum to schools. Individual subject objective sheets were created and shared with attendees.

Maths

CPD PowerPoint presentations to support the planning and implementation of the New Curriculum for Mathematics, focusing on the 3 key aims of the new Curriculum, changes to calculation methods and meeting the raised expectations.

Sessions have also been delivered to LSAs focusing on the new Curriculum and how they can support in the maths classroom.

English

CPD PowerPoint presentations to support the planning and implementation of the New Curriculum for English; focusing separately on reading and writing.

Computing

CPD PowerPoint presentations to support the planning and implementation of the New Curriculum for Computing.

Science

CPD PowerPoint presentation to support teachers in planning to elicit children’s questions which relate to the science curriculum .

MFL

A session modelled a cross-curricular project based in French. Those who attended were sent a list of those activities as well as other ideas to adapt the new curriculum to existing schemes of work. Also included were suggestions from
those who attended.

Assessment

Example assessment resources created for individual pupil assessment and whole class/cohort assessment for English (reading and writing), Maths and Science. PowerPoint presentations detailing trials of these assessment resources and outcomes.
