Breakdown of Resources by Subject Area

Long and medium term plans for History, Geography, Science, Maths and Literacy were scheduled to take place until the end of July 2015. Estimated at a cost of £5,500, plans include a Talk for Writing Literacy Conference, newly written and distributed Schemes of Work and a number of CPD sessions for all alliance Primary schools.

Maths CPD continues with the aim of improving subject knowledge and understanding the changes to new maths curriculum.- £800. Numicon maths CPD for teachers to develop maths is planned for the Autumn Term at a cost of £1,300.

CPD to improve teachers’ subject knowledge of the History curriculum (specifically ‘Stone age to Iron age’) has taken place and a new Scheme of Work has been written to accompany this together with History planning. Children’s workshops at a total cost of £1,100.

Continued CPD for teachers to improve English and Maths following the new standardisation is scheduled for September 2015 – £1,500.

JCTSA Primary Partner Schools – Acorn Multi Academy Trust, Axe Beacon Federation, Bridport Primary School, Chard Area Federation of Schools, Charmouth Primary School, Littletown Academy, Honiton, Payhembury Primary School, St Mary’s CE Primary School, Bridport and St Michael’s Primary School, Lyme Regis.

All new Schemes of Work and Numicon training resources will be published on the JCTSA website.

Breakdown of Resources by Subject Area

Maths – Following a Primary Maths CPD session for all JCTSA schools, a new Maths Scheme of Work has been written and distributed to all Primary schools within the alliance.

To aid with the new Scheme of Work and using newly resourced Numicon material, a Numicon Training Day for all Primary schools within the alliance has been scheduled for the 2015 Autumn term.

English – Standardisation for English and Maths within the Primary partner schools is being created.

To aid with the new standardisation for English a Talk for Writing Literacy conference will be held on Monday 27 April 2015 and will be supported by Literacy Consultant Maria Richards. The conference will be free to all alliance Primary schools.

ICT – A number of Primary ICT training sessions have already taken place across the alliance. The alliance Primary schools also have the benefit of Primary SLE John Bullen who specialises in Pupil Achievement ICT.

History – Following a CPD session for all alliance Primary schools, a new Scheme of Work has been written and distributed to all Primary schools within the alliance.
